Implementation specialist
A client gives a project very little of their time, so that time has to count. You learn how a front desk, a dispatch board or an intake process really runs, write it down, and get the client ready for the day the system goes live.
The work
- Run the conversation where we collect what a build needs, in person or on a call.
- Map a process as it is done today: who touches it, in what software, and where it slows down.
- Go through test results with the client in words they use.
- Show the people who work beside the system how to pause it, correct it and take over from it.
What you bring
- Experience in operations, an office or a service business, on the inside.
- The ability to explain software to people who did not ask for it.
- Calgary based, with your own way of getting to a client’s site.
How the contract works
- A written scope
- Every project starts from a written scope: what is to be delivered and by when.
- Your rate, by the hour
- You are paid by the hour at a rate agreed before you start, and you invoice for the hours worked.
- Your own business
- You are an independent contractor. You use your own tools, decide how the work gets done, and look after your own taxes.
- Project by project
- A contract covers one project. It is not a promise of further work, and you are free to work for others.
- Client data stays put
- Work happens in the client’s own accounts, with the least access the task needs, under a confidentiality agreement.
