AI systems that take intake, precedent search and first drafts off a law firm
Intake, precedent search, first drafts and document summaries, built around your practice management system and your own precedents, with a lawyer reviewing every output.
- Client
- Sample client
- Matter type
- Residential purchase
- Parties
- Three, for conflict search
- Engagement letter
- Draft from firm template
Your firm probably already uses AI tools. The hard part is everything around them: client files you cannot paste into a public tool, precedents scattered across folders and matters, intake that still means retyping, and document sets too big to read twice. General tools do not know your precedents, your matters or your confidentiality rules.
- 01
Client intake and conflict-check prep
Intake details captured once, parties listed for your conflict search, and a draft engagement letter prepared for the lawyer to review.
Built on Document intake - 02
Calls answered and logged
Routine calls answered, messages taken for the right person, and every call written to the matter or the intake queue.
Built on Inbound call handling - 03
Private precedent search
Answers from your own precedents and past work, with the source document cited and matter permissions respected.
Built on Knowledge lookup - 04
First drafts checked against your templates
Standard documents drafted from matter data and your templates, with every deviation flagged for review.
Built on Form and contract review
How it fits what you already run
We work with the practice management system, document storage and email your firm already runs. Access follows your existing matter permissions, so ethical walls hold.
Works with tools such as
- Outlook
- SharePoint
- Google Drive
- Microsoft Teams
- Twilio
What stays with your people
- The conflict decision and the decision to take the matter.
- All advice, and anything filed, sent or served.
- The final review of every draft.
Your obligations, handled in the open
How we work, not legal advice- 01
Confidentiality and privilege
Client information is processed only where you approve, in private deployments, and it is never used to train models for anyone else. You get a map of where each piece of data goes before anything is built.
- 02
Competence and supervision
You get documentation of how each system works and how it is tested, so your lawyers can supervise it properly. Outputs are first drafts with their sources shown, designed for a lawyer to review.
- 03
Transparency with clients
We document how each system handles client information so you can describe it in your retainer letters if you choose to. This is how we work, not legal or ethics advice. Your organisation and your counsel decide how your obligations apply.
What we do not do
- Give legal advice, or decide conflicts.
- File, send or serve anything without a lawyer’s review.
- Process client files in public AI tools.
- Replace your practice management system or your legal research subscriptions.
Questions we are asked
Is client data used to train AI?
No. Never.
Where is client data processed?
Where you approve. Private deployment and Canadian hosting are available, and you get a data map before anything is built.
Who is responsible for the output?
Your lawyers, as with any draft. The system shows its sources so review is fast and verifiable.
What about ethical walls?
Access follows your matter permissions. A user cannot retrieve documents from matters they cannot already open.
Can it search everything the firm has ever written, and stay inside our walls?
That is a knowledge system with private inference, quoted under Engineering: every matter, precedent and memo the firm allows, with each answer cited to its page, permissions by matter, and the model served inside your own account or in Canada.
Tell us about one workflow that eats your team’s week.
Fifteen minutes on a call. We ask about the work, and we tell you plainly whether a system fits.
